“When you get quiet, you get clear enough to ask yourself, ‘What am I pursuing and why?’”
I came across a fabulous quiet the other day in a book or was reading called Moving the Needle, by Joe Sweeney. The book is about Help to get clear about your goals at work and in life. In his book, Joe says the following; “When you get quiet, you get clear enough to ask yourself, ‘What am I pursuing and why?’”
This quote is particularly poignant, as the author makes a very valid point When it comes to preparing to get focused more, especially at work.
Too often, especially when we get to work in the morning, and a mind is racing and 100 kilometres per hour. Many managers and employees are quick to turn on their computer and check their email, rather than quietening their in minds, and thinking about what they have to do today.
Can I encourage you, before you do anything else at the start of the day, to quieten your mind, and take 10 minutes to think about what you have to do for the day ahead. Then, in peace and quite plan your day and create a daily to-do list.
